New World Learning Academy

New World Learning Academy is an innovative and unique Preschool in Chandler, AZ. We recognize the need for advance 21st Century skills education, STEM development, critical and computational thinking skills and encouraging children to reach their maximum potential in a loving, stimulating environment. Our school focuses on inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving for children ages 3 to 6.

As the demand for talented STEM Careers continues to increase, more and more families are looking for quality STEM Summer Camps to engage their child(ren) in these fields beginning at a young age. We provide STEM learning for students ages 3-18 via summer programs and year-round clubs.

S.T.E.M Education

STEM, in the real world, as practiced by professionals, is about examining, exploring, and solving real-life problems. Students should learn to investigate questions about the world that they come across in daily life, in much the same way that scientists and mathematicians do. Our program instills a solid foundation of essential and advanced thinking skills through a structured curriculum and a broad range of hands-on activities and manipulative.

Early Literacy

Early literacy plays a key role in enabling the kind of early learning experiences and overall academic success of modern day education. Our advanced Pre-K curriculum concentrates on literacy-awareness, listening comprehension and oral language vocabulary in an integrated STEM environment. The curriculum is designed to motivate and encourage students and develop confidence on an individual level.

New World Learning Academy inspires creative thinking, problem solving and innovation.

We have a lot of fun here at New World Learning Academy and we like to share that with our community! Throughout the year, we host several FREE events for Families in the East Valley. Like us on Facebook to keep up to date on our events!

KidQuest STEM Summer Camps (ages 3-12)

Advanced Robotics Club (ages 6-12)

New World learning Academy is happy to announce the first ever First Lego League (FLL) K-5th grade competitive team for the First Lego League. FLL is a robotics program for students ages 6 – 12. Robotics and programming are only part of the Challenge. Team members will use research and presentation skills as well as their teamwork skills. Robotics goes hand in hand with New World Learning STEM Initiative and use of the Engineering Design Process.

FLL will be an after school activity and there will be regularly scheduled meetings. Along with this we will offer Robotics Programing during the summer camp, are competing teams will meet after the regular day this is where we will go more in-depth with robotics.

About First Lego League – A FLL competition centers around two main parts:

(A) The Robot Game (1/4 of the points)

(B) The Project (3/4 of the points)

Robot Game – During the robot game students program an autonomous robot (autonomous in this case means press the start button and back away) to perform specific tasks on a game board.

For the Project portion of the competition, judges look for a solution to a problem. There are 3 areas that teams will be judged during the project.

  1. Project – Identify a problem and present a solution to the problem.
  2. Presentation – The team displays an original way to present information learned during research.
  3. Team Work – A team is given a problem to solve (think Pictionary), how do they solve the problem as a group.

School Readiness = Set for Life

NWLA’s curriculum and educators enhance and nurture that critical development phase in all of our students. We are not a one size fits all environment as we recognize that children learn at different rates and in multiple different ways. We take a personalize approach to our education methods and curriculum. How do we accomplish this? It all begins with our school environment.

STEM Smart

STEM is about solving problems in multiple ways. There is not always one answer or solution to a problem. Sometimes we need to try multiple things before we are successful at solving any problem. When one answer is the wrong answer, that does not mean we have failed. Children often are afraid of failure and are not taught that an unexpected outcome is not always a wrong outcome. Children learn by doing rather than being spoken to. STEM brings that excitement of participation into a classroom that may otherwise be boring and unimportant to them.

Character Counts!

Social, emotional and ethical learning is not taught in just one class. Character education takes shape in multiple ways and in multiple environments. It is promoted as part of the daily classroom life in instruction, during group work, at recess and even at transitions to drop off and pick up with parents. It is about fostering positive relationships in all aspects of the child’s life.
